Valencia – Barcelona Preview

Valencia faces Barcelona at the Estadio de Mestalla in a match from the 17th round of La Liga. Please stay with us and our soccer betting tips daily for this fixture. It’s time to give you a preview!

Valencia are not in their best shape as they are without a win in the last four matches – one draw and three losses. Because of this Los Che fell to 11th place in the standings with 19 points – just one point behind Rayo Vallecano and Top 10. Now can they do better against Barca? They don’t have a choice, but to try.

Last weekend Valencia suffered their 7th loss for the season. Ruben Baraja’s team paid a visit to Getafe, but a late goal from Borja Mayoral put the hosts ahead. Meanwhile Valencia finished the game with 9 men on the pitch as Gabriel Paulista and Javi Guerra got sent off – both of them won’t play against Barcelona.

Barca also suffered a defeat in their last game – 2-4 against Girona at home. The Catalans were a shadow of themselves and they got outperformed by the visitors. It was disappointing to see Xavi’s team playing like this, but now Los Cules have a chance to do better.

Robert Lewandowski and Ilkay Gundogan scored against Girona, but it didn’t help. Now Xavi is expected to make changes in the line-up against Valencia. Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres could return in the starting eleven while Fermin Lopez is an option for the midfield. Oriol Romeu and Alejandro Balde are also options for Barca’s manager.

Robert Lewandowski’s poor form is becoming a problem for Barcelona. The Polish striker scored in the last game, but his overall performances are not good. The Catalans need him back to his best as soon as possible.

That’s the soccer betting tips daily for the La Liga clash between Valencia and Barcelona. Let’s see what’s going to happen here.
